The San Carlos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Juvenal should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute Jan-Erik Peternell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Juvenal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeo Franco during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Tadeo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Juvenal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Peternell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Honorio Luix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C.A.HUMBOLDT were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after San Carlos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Honorio Luix took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of San Carlos's goalie and right to Vinicio Fraco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. San Carlos's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Freddy Ruisko kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Jan-Erik Peternell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Carlos's Tomás Juvenal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Peternell in the 41st minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Honorio Luix made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Macario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Franco in the 51st minute of the match. Tomás Juvenal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 庞青城, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honorio Luix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tomás Juvenal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Juvenal made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Honorio Luix sent off a good shot on target. Honorio Luix succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 70th playminute. With a little luck, San Carlos's Tomás Juvenal got control of the ball when Honorio Luix tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, San Carlos's Mauricio Sendoa got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Honorio Luix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorio Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 played minutes San Carlos got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Vito. After 88 played minutes C.A.HUMBOLDT got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Figueroa. Honorio Luix succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 92nd playminute.
