Depo Beltràn's Eriberto Loco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Depo Beltràn from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Bernardo Montel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Depo Beltràn's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Montel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Jurdan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eriberto Loco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Battal Seyyit Ongunsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Jurdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Bäcklin in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Okan Eryiğit got a free kick in the 20th minute. Fernando Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Montel in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Depo Beltràn booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Maura didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bernardo Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Bernardo Montel made the kick off in the second half. Douglas Bäcklin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Jurdan having to make a save. 57 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's Bernardino Guillelmus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eriberto Loco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gaspar Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Damaso Pabla didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-1 via right post in the game's 65th minute. Depo Beltràn's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Okan Eryiğit's late challenge caught a Depo Beltràn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Okan Eryiğit helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Okan Eryiğit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Bäcklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Jurdan having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Douglas Bäcklin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Depo Beltràn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Bäcklin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atletico River Plate succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Depo Beltràn had controlled the match.
