In the 10th minute Raul Rufio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Reynardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Gandofi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Olando to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ismael Artaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo San Martín's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Artaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javier Abechuco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saverio Goren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Reynardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Deportivo San Martín's Ismael Artaldo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 75 played minutes Deportivo San Martín got a freekick which was hit by Roger Dias. After a defensive mix-up in Gandofi's zone, Saverio Goren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Abechuco came out of the goal and Saverio Goren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ismael Artaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Abechuco having to make a save. Deportivo San Martín's Saverio Goren got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javier Abechuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Goren in the 91st minute of play. When Deportivo San Martín's Saverio Goren in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gandofi's goalie prevented a goal. Deportivo San Martín were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
