The Ve Ocho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Bladi should have stopped the shot. Silvio Bladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 倪希常, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Artemio Laurgain came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ve Ocho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Laurgain couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Stanislao in the 25th minute of play forced Wisin y Yandel's goalkeeper Ernani Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Conrado Eduino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wisin y Yandel's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Eduino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Bladi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Siro Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wisin y Yandel had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
