Cirilo Lander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mario Elorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Emesto in the 25th minute of play. Mascota AFC's Mario Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Iigo in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Mascota AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Polo to maneuver through the defense. Armando Olo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Lander having to interfere. The Mascota AFC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Mascota AFC's Arnulfo Polo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Elida FC's zone, Armando Olo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Lander came out of the goal and Armando Olo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Olo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Cirilo Lander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 45th minute Arnulfo Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Lander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Arnulfo Polo made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Armando Olo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mascota AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Olo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cirilo Lander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mascota AFC's Arnulfo Polo got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute of the match Augusto Ted sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cirilo Lander skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Polo in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Lander saved Elida FC from getting behind. Mascota AFC's Mario Elorri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Mascota AFC from getting a goal against them. Arnulfo Polo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mascota AFC had played much better football throughout.
