Alfonso Dominix ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Central's zone, Fausto Crescencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Bortzaioriz came out of the goal and Fausto Crescencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Modesto Bernabel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filomeno Cordarrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Fidele in the 18th minute of the match. If Fausto Crescencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, Los piojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Nuñez to maneuver through the defense. Albano Rayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Cordarrell having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Los piojos got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Crescencio. In the 36th minute, Rosario Central's Albano Rayman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filomeno Cordarrell. Filomeno Cordarrell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Adan Bortzaioriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Crescencio in the 42nd minute of play. Los piojos's Filomeno Cordarrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Rayman in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Dominix made a kick off. When Silverio Medero fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario Central's protests and gave Silverio Medero a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Medero. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Los piojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Evis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Central's zone, Fausto Crescencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Bortzaioriz came out of the goal and Fausto Crescencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 played minutes Los piojos got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Kelemen. Aureliano Kelemen charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureliano Kelemen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aureliano Kelemen kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Albano Rayman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Crescencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Adan Bortzaioriz made a huge save. Isidro Serapio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filomeno Cordarrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los piojos's Pascual Vitin got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 89 played minutes Los piojos got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Ourente. Filomeno Cordarrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosario Central's Bonifacio Fidele got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
