ILEX FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Eneas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cleto Azevedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavino Obeko. ILEX FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Hilario Lazcano put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jorge Faria. If Gustavo Pelayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Irene AFC's Santo Eneas got a free kick in the 21st minute. Gregorio Matthew hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th match minute, Irene AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Hilario Lazcano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jorge Faria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the game, Irene AFC's Santo Eneas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Obeko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Marciano Endira hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Irene AFC's Patricio Pasqual got a free kick in the 41st minute. Gavino Obeko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Irene AFC's Jorge Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Pelayo in the 45th minute of play. Julian Txatxu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Irene AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! In the 47th minute there was a penalty for ILEX FC. Apolo Sidoro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Faria. 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Pelayo to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, ILEX FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Santo Eneas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 54 played minutes ILEX FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Fernandes. 57 minutes into the game, Patricio Emmanuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ILEX FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irene AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, ILEX FC's Patricio Emmanuel got a free kick in the 57th minute. Irene AFC's Jorge Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Lazcano in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Leandro Javiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Obeko came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Irene AFC's Leandro Javiar. But to his dismay, Leandro Javiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. When ILEX FC's Hilario Lazcano in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Irene AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute, Vânderson Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match Severiano Raitin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Faria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Santo Eneas came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gavino Obeko could save by the left post. With his leg Gavino Obeko managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Irene AFC's Santo Eneas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 90 minutes into the match, Irene AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Fernandes came free, but Jorge Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Irene AFC's Leandro Javiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavino Obeko. That made the score 3-4 after 97 minutes of play. Irene AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
