Spectators: 6991 (Terracing: 5332, Seating: 1634, VIP seats: 25) infierno rojo's Arnulfo Cresencio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cirilo Chaime showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Bartoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Bartoli in the 5th minute of play forced Ideazabal's goalkeeper Cirilo Chaime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolo Messias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cirilo Chaime made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Bartoli in the 11th minute of play. Ivan Toli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Toli having to interfere. A hard shot by Lorenzo Ilixo from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Ivan Toli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Esteban Balendin came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ideazabal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Balendin couldn't finish the play. Ivan Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Messias in the 36th minute of play. Ivan Toli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manolo Messias in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Ideazabal's Esteban Balendin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Toli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Ideazabal's Pablo Vimaro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pablo Vimaro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ideazabal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pablo Vimaro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 43 played minutes Ideazabal got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Vimaro. Ideazabal's Alvaro Petri got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Miguel Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ideazabal's Hernan Oliverio was substituted for Esteban Balendin. Ideazabal's Feliberto Lonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Bartoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes infierno rojo got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Corderun. In the 81st minute of the match infierno rojo got a corner. Ideazabal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baldomero Oidor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Baldomero Oidor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cirilo Chaime quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 91st minute Manolo Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Toli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. infierno rojo's Baldomero Oidor shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cirilo Chaime but with some difficulty. Severino Alvarez was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes infierno rojo got a freekick which was hit by Severino Alvarez. In the 98th minute, Miguel Batista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ideazabal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. There was no doubt that Ideazabal were the better team. Ideazabal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
