Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Peli in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Vasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Peli in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Vasco saved Deportivo Musical from getting behind. Deportivo Musical's Ezequiel Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Bakar in the 44th minute of play. Ezequiel Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Chan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruperto Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ezequiel Vasco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Deportivo Musical booed when Cereales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Francis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Delmar Garaile cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ceferino Flor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cereales were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
