In the 48th minute, Gavino Eztebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Amadeo Orlondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Frutos in the 58th minute of the match. Club Cipolletti's Amadeo Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Favila in the 59th minute of play. Amadeo Orlondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Favila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Orlondo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Club Cipolletti's protests and gave Pastor Restu a yellow card for diving instead.
