Calisto Casta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes Higuerita got a freekick which was hit by Calisto Casta. After a defensive mix-up in Higuerita's zone, Cesar Niva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Herrera came out of the goal and Cesar Niva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Higuerita's goalkeeper Teofilo Herrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Hibai. 10 minutes into the match, Santos Barros notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Higuerita's Teofilo Herrera. Teofilo Herrera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Higuerita's Teofilo Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Higuerita from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosendo Ursino during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rosendo Ursino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Teofilo Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Herrera was a little too slow when Jesus Eneto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 3-0. If Rosendo Ursino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jesus Eneto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Higuerita got a freekick which was hit by Dante Peio. In the 33rd minute, Santos Barros fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 38th minute, Silvestre Arotza sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lanús AC's Tiberiu Baltian didn't even have to move. Teofilo Herrera made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gaspar Errolan sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lanús AC's zone, Angelino Galtero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Baltian came out of the goal and Angelino Galtero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 49 minutes into the match, Marcial Deunoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teofilo Herrera. Higuerita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcial Deunoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Higuerita getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Rosendo Ursino hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Lanús AC's goalkeeper Tiberiu Baltian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Ponciano. 64 minutes into the match, Higuerita's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Eneto came free, but Teofilo Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofilo Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Higuerita's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Eneto came free, but Teofilo Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pastor Hibai took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teofilo Herrera. Teofilo Herrera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Pastor Hibai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Herrera having to interfere. In the 88th minute Gaspar Errolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofilo Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Deunoro in the 89th minute of the match. After 92 minutes of play, Lanús AC's Pastor Hibai made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Herrera was left in no man's land by his defense there!
