To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Eduard Kabatskiy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Flavio Ursino, 1-0. In the 40th minute, one of Iglesia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Iglesia. When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Basavilbaso FC's Raul Gartzea got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Flavio Ursino. Roderick Wijnterp took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Cordero. Rodrigo Cordero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Flavio Ursino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Kabatskiy in the 51st minute of the match. Feliciano Benvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Cordero having to interfere. Raul Gartzea took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Ursino. After some careless play in the Basavilbaso FC defense, Roderick Wijnterp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Cordero. The Basavilbaso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Cordero should have stopped the shot. Siro Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Ursino having to interfere. Rodrigo Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roderick Wijnterp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Raul Gartzea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Flavio Ursino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raul Gartzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacarias Sugoi's late challenge caught a Basavilbaso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zacarias Sugoi helped the player get up and apologised. Zacarias Sugoi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of Iglesia booed when Basavilbaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Savion didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Roderick Wijnterp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
