The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Breed Hunt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Mercedes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 21st minute, Maximo Abascal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute Teofilo Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Hitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Abascal in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, RACING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Hegoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Breed Hunt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. But to his dismay, Maximo Abascal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Tomas Hitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breed Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Teofilo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When Teofilo Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RACING CLUB's protests and gave Teofilo Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. Teofilo Abreu hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Breed Hunt in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomas Hitz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breed Hunt got free with Tomas Hitz in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Senin having to interfere. Club Mercedes's Maximo Abascal got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to RACING CLUB getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Simon Claus hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Breed Hunt made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Hitz. RACING CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 76th minute, Teofilo Luken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RACING CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Breed Hunt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Tomas Hitz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Teofilo Abreu got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. RACING CLUB's Tomas Hitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save RACING CLUB from getting a goal against them. The RACING CLUB fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Mercedes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
