The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Eleuterio Dalmau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Flor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Ghost City FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Santiago Intxixu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Florencio Nastasio made a huge save. Santiago Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Nastasio having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Santiago Intxixu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evelio Hernandez during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Ghost City FC got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Hernandez. Marcelino Uzuri shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Cristo Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saverio Gaspard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristo Suarez went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Lino Kinsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Leteque got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Giraldo. Benjamin Barto kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Florencio Nastasio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Flor in the 37th minute of play. Bernabe Jago kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Santiago Intxixu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ghost City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Intxixu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Nastasio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristo Suarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Gaspard having to interfere. In the 47th minute Cristo Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristo Suarez was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Lino Kinsen took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Saverio Gaspard to make any attempt to save it. Martin Flor struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Florencio Nastasio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghost City FC. When Evelio Hernandez came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ghost City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Hernandez couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ghost City FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Joaquin Ponciano hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Leteque's Marcelino Uzuri tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lino Kinsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Saverio Gaspard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ghost City FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Martin Flor hit a great ball. Florencio Nastasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Flor in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Leteque's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Intxixu came free, but Florencio Nastasio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Gaspard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Suarez in the 89th minute of play. If Cristo Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Leteque could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ghost City FC throughout the match.
