Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geronimo Manex to make the kick off. A collision led to Grande el fortin getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Rosendo Sancho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grande el fortin's zone, Eustaquio Bento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Herauso came out of the goal and Eustaquio Bento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the game, Grande el fortin's Gustavo Martxot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Casado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 56th minute, Vicente Paul ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Johans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaston Herauso came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando Johans slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 71st minute. Marcial Casado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Fernandez in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Tadeo Benino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Casado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Benino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Casado was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Eustaquio Bento struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gaston Herauso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amapola FC.
