Seating: 1634, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Inocencio Odon kicked off to start the match. Francisco Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Odon in the 4th minute of the match. Francisco Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Gaufred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Tello hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Erasmo Enetz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Sebastian Cambranes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Odon in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Cloyo got free with Amado Aurre in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Hermon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amado Aurre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Blai went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute Inocencio Odon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, C. A. Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Cloyo to maneuver through the defense. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's Francisco Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Bakar in the 31st minute of play. Diego Castulo scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Hernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Horacio Bakar came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Francisco Hernandez could save by the left post. 55 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Hermon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Hernandez. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clodoveo Hermon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If Horacio Bakar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amado Aurre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Blai's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's Francisco Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Hermon during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of C. A. Velez Sarsfield booed when Zelaya AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Hermon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Aldo Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Blai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Aurre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68 played minutes Inocencio Odon rounded C. A. Velez Sarsfield's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. In the 71st minute Clodoveo Hermon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Hernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diego Castulo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 75 minute of play. Francisco Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Odon in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Blai in the 82nd minute of play forced Zelaya AFC's goalkeeper Amado Aurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes Zelaya AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Irrintzi. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's Francisco Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, C. A. Velez Sarsfield's Francisco Hernandez got control of the ball when Horacio Bakar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Hernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clodoveo Hermon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 90 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zelaya AFC's Clodoveo Hermon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisco Hernandez. That made the score 1-7 after 93 minutes of play. When the match was over Zelaya AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C. A. Velez Sarsfield throughout the match.
