A collision led to Club Atletico El Linqueño getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alberto Bazil hit a great ball. Ovidio Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robustiano Bazkoare hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascual Shepherd in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidio Semeno saved Club Atletico El Linqueño from getting behind. Herbert Skaradowski scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Iratzeder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Herbert Skaradowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Txurio hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Mauricio's David Iratzeder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Mauricio from getting a goal against them. David Iratzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Virila in the 26th minute of play. Paulo Ur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ovidio Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atletico El Linqueño getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alberto Bazil hit a great ball. David Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Honesto in the 33rd minute of the match. Herbert Skaradowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of David Iratzeder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Jesco in the 39th minute of play forced Club Atletico El Linqueño's goalkeeper Ovidio Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascual Shepherd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Club Atletico El Linqueño's Herbert Skaradowski in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Mauricio's Omar Urti got a free kick in the 64th minute. Pedro Virila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Iratzeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atletico El Linqueño booed when Mauricio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Shepherd did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Ovidio Semeno 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Confesor in the 80th minute of play forced Mauricio's goalkeeper David Iratzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Herbert Skaradowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico El Linqueño's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Skaradowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Iratzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Mauricio defense, Herbert Skaradowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Iratzeder. The Mauricio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Iratzeder should have stopped the shot. Evaristo Felo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Herbert Skaradowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Iratzeder was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 95thth minute of the game Herbert Skaradowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mauricio's David Iratzeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
