In the 27th minute, Asker Løvendorf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ebi Smolarek in the 30th minute of play forced Ciro y los Persas's goalkeeper Leonides Eleder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro y los Persas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Ebi Smolarek scored to the left of an out of position Leonides Eleder, making the score, 1-0. Teodosio Innocenzios short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Leonides Eleder to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodosio Innocenzio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonides Eleder. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Ciro y los Persas's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Innocenzio came free, but Leonides Eleder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Oliverios struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Leonides Eleder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Ameghino. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodosio Innocenzio in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Eleder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. Aristides Baldovino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Taurino in the 55th minute of play. Leonides Eleder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Mano, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Dalmacio Mergildo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Defensores de Ameghino's David Olando managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Amador Ihazintu in the 69 minute of the game. Leonides Eleder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ebi Smolarek in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Marin Zamfir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Defensores de Ameghino's goalkeeper Aristides Baldovino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Asker Løvendorf. In the 94thth minute of the game Teodosio Innocenzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciro y los Persas's Leonides Eleder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amador Ihazintu was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
