After a defensive mix-up in Def. de Belgrano's zone, Ezequiel Nerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Galsino came out of the goal and Ezequiel Nerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelino Galsino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Rencio in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Def. de Belgrano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ezequiel Nerio was slow to take the kick. During this time Azcurra's players had a chance to rest. Mauro Godoy kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Azcurra's Nicasio Gaizkine got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Def. de Belgrano's Ulises Calisto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Inocente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Azcurra booed when Def. de Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Eskuin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Ezequiel Nerio in the 31st minute really tested Angelino Galsino's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. David Columbo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Columbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christian Inocente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anier Vimaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Ulises Calisto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justino Rencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Def. de Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Gaizkine came free, but Angelino Galsino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Galsino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Aztore, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Gaizkine in the 62nd minute of play forced Def. de Belgrano's goalkeeper Angelino Galsino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, David Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azcurra's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anier Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anier Vimaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Nicasio Gaizkine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Angelino Galsino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, Azcurra's Nicasio Gaizkine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Galsino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelino Galsino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Columbo in the 79th minute of the match. Def. de Belgrano's Angelino Galsino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Gaizkine in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Ezequiel Nerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azcurra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Nerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Azcurra had played much better football throughout.
