Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Carlos Favoretto started the match with the kick off. If Ulises Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Odon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. When Ulises Chuse came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the estudiantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Chuse couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Favoretto in the 8th minute of play forced Turungun AFC's goalkeeper Andres Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, José Carlos Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andres Odon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of estudiantes booed when Turungun AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Baumer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Cugat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Odon having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Favoretto in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres Odon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 minutes of play, estudiantes's José Carlos Favoretto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andres Odon was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Carlos Favoretto took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andres Odon. Andres Odon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Turungun AFC's goalkeeper Andres Odon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Carlos Favoretto in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Odon saved Turungun AFC from getting behind. José Carlos Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, José Carlos Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Odon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Chuse in the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to Turungun AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Vinicio Elixio hit a great ball. The Turungun AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. estudiantes were winning 0-4.

With an all-out effort, estudiantes's Andres Odon threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Carlos Favoretto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 58th match minute, estudiantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Cugat to maneuver through the defense. Andres Odon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, estudiantes's José Carlos Favoretto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Edelmiro Abilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Elizardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game José Carlos Favoretto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Turungun AFC's Andres Odon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as estudiantes's José Carlos Favoretto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andres Odon. That made the score 0-6 after 73 minutes of play. Edelmiro Abilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Elizardo in the 77th minute of the match. When Americo Jusepe fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored estudiantes's protests and gave Americo Jusepe a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes estudiantes got a freekick which was hit by Americo Jusepe. Honorio Herrera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Andres Odon made a huge save. With his leg Andres Odon managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when estudiantes's Ulises Chuse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Modesto Rufo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Turungun AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. estudiantes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
