With a little luck, Club 24 de Septiembre's Zeledon Isaio got control of the ball when Niceto Bibiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Godofredo Urki's late challenge caught a Club 24 de Septiembre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Club 24 de Septiembre's Silvestre Odon got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jimeno Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Berreta's Iker Dayam in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club 24 de Septiembre's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Berreta's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Goito came free, but Cipriano Ferrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iker Dayam to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Silvestre Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club 24 de Septiembre's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Odon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Ferrando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Dayam in the 90th minute of play forced Club 24 de Septiembre's goalkeeper Zeledon Isaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Iker Dayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
