The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceferino Laurgain got free with Baltasar Rioja in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 minutes, Faustino Balesio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaqüé and the Calderilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. Faustino Balesio hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Geronimo Calvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Rioja having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Calderilla's zone, Raul Frederico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Rioja came out of the goal and Raul Frederico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baltasar Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Laurgain in the 88th minute of play.
