Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Genaro Leoiar took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Genaro Leoiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Federal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olavarría the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Federal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Leoiar to maneuver through the defense. Olavarría's Guaberto Caitano got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Caitano in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Checa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atilano Cisco was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Benicio Jesco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benicio Jesco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Adrian Gonsalvo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Guaberto Caitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Guaberto Caitano notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Federal's Alonzo Checa. Alonzo Checa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Orlando Joachim kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After the first half Olavarría were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guaberto Caitano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Caitano got free with Alonzo Checa in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Sidnei Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sidnei Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Saldanha hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to Olavarría getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Eriberto Abilio hit a great ball. If Benicio Jesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavarría's Lázaro Laurin was substituted for Orlando Joachim. Alonzo Checa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Caitano in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Laurin in the 72nd minute of play forced Federal's goalkeeper Alonzo Checa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Caitano in the 76th minute of the match. Lázaro Laurin kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Atilano Cisco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Leoiar in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Olavarría booed when Federal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Transito didn't get a good kick on the ball.
