Spectators: 6642 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artemio Constancio started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruperto Federigo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of San Lorenzo de Almagro booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Lorenzo de Almagro's Albano Bonifaco got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 played minutes Candelaria got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Seber. Sylvester Bastmüller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hugo Sesuldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Aureliano Loreto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hugo Sesuldo. Aureliano Loreto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eulalio Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Oxel having to interfere. In the 24thth minute of the game Eulalio Ortle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo de Almagro's Vladimiro Oxel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artemio Constancio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sylvester Bastmüller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 35 in the game by Artemio Constancio from a close distance when the talented Hugo Sesuldo managed to make a qualified save. Candelaria's players were relieved. Sylvester Bastmüller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Candelaria's Hugo Sesuldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Candelaria from getting a goal against them. San Lorenzo de Almagro's Artemio Constancio got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Candelaria's Hugo Sesuldo got control of the ball when Aureliano Loreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eulalio Ortle was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Albano Bonifaco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hugo Sesuldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sylvester Bastmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Bonifaco in the 59th minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Hugo Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Albano Bonifaco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo de Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Bonifaco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Constancio in the 67th minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Hugo Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Loreto in the 79th minute of play. When Albano Bonifaco came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the San Lorenzo de Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Bonifaco couldn't finish the play. If Albano Bonifaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
