Eliseo Bastia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Vinicio Paez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th match minute, Ciénega AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Aureo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Hipolito Bixintxo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Vinicio Paez to make any attempt to save it. In the 27th minute of the match Pastor Faro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinicio Paez skillfully saved the ball. Ciénega AFC's Vinicio Paez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ciénega AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Shibanitos's Hipolito Bixintxo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vinicio Paez. Vinicio Paez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Delmar Truylos's late challenge caught a Ciénega AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmar Truylos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Shibanitos getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Delmar Truylos hit a great ball. Bruninho Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesus Escobar to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Bixintxo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Paez saved Ciénega AFC from getting behind. After 53 minutes, Roberto Dolfo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shibanitos and the Ciénega AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ciénega AFC booed when Shibanitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Dolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Ferman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ciénega AFC's Vinicio Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Bastia in the 67th minute of play. Hipolito Bixintxo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Paez having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Eliseo Bastia notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Ciénega AFC's Vinicio Paez. Vinicio Paez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Bixintxo in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Paez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruninho Baptista made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Teodoro Mirande sent off a good shot on target. In the 86thth minute of the game Hipolito Bixintxo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciénega AFC's Vinicio Paez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vinicio Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Bastia in the 91st minute of play.
