But to his dismay, Emilio Nayely quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 14 played minutes los fenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Lazcano. Tomás Paublo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, los fenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Paublo came free, but Lino Nel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Tomás Paublo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lino Nel. los fenix FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Paublo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Rafael Pabla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. los fenix FC's Arnulfo Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arnulfo Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los fenix FC's protests and gave Arnulfo Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, los fenix FC's Arnulfo Vidal got a free kick in the 29th minute. Tomás Paublo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Etxekopar in the 35th minute of play forced los fenix FC's goalkeeper Lino Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ATLETICO SAGRADO XIII getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Emilio Nayely hit a great ball. Lino Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Paublo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Paublo in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Nel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 58th match minute, los fenix FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Vidal to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tomás Paublo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lino Nel was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind los fenix FC's goalkeeper Lino Nel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lino Nel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Rafael Pabla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romulo Quintin struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Iker Colas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for los fenix FC. With 87 minutes on the clock, Cristo Clemencin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of ATLETICO SAGRADO XIII:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of los fenix FC:s goal. Iker Colas had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Rogelio Jerardo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Rogelio Jerardo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of ATLETICO SAGRADO XIII's Iker Colas. Iker Colas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Arnaldo Gentza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
