The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Cugat during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute of the match, Emery Pagan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leon Mendebal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leon Mendebal came out of the goal and Hilario Theobald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
