Club Social San Cristobal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Mosen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Club Social San Cristobal's Martien de Vos in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Pumas's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Los Pumas's Bernardino Gorri got a free kick in the 13th minute. Hernan Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bonifacio Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Gotzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldas Rekašius in the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Los Pumas got a freekick which was hit by Americo Egoitz. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pumas's zone, Martien de Vos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Gotzon came out of the goal and Martien de Vos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteban James recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban James got free with Benjamin Gotzon in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Club Social San Cristobal's Esteban James sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Gotzon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Ovidio Brais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Pumas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Martien de Vos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Esteban James managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Social San Cristobal's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban James was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Gotzon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldas Rekašius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Gotzon having to interfere. Benjamin Gotzon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martien de Vos's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The Club Social San Cristobal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Pumas were winning 0-2.

Martien de Vos might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Gotzon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martien de Vos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute, Leopoldo Luque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute Arnoldas Rekašius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Rosendo Gorri sped through Club Social San Cristobal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bonifacio Rioja. Leopoldo Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Emilio Walme from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Bonifacio Rioja's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Rosendo Gorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Bonifacio Rioja made a huge save. Fedele Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes, Los Pumas's Emilio Walme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bonifacio Rioja came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Pumas reached it. If Esteban James had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, Arnoldas Rekašius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Gotzon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Benjamin Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martien de Vos in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Pumas's goalkeeper Benjamin Gotzon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Martien de Vos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Gotzon was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Ovidio Brais hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Martien de Vos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Los Pumas booed when Club Social San Cristobal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldas Rekašius didn't get a good kick on the ball.
