Jorge Pagomari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Favila having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Pichincha FC's Inocencio Favila threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cemal Ilıcak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 24th match minute, Club Atletico La Balcarce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Erruki to maneuver through the defense. Inocencio Favila made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Cemal Ilıcak sent off a good shot on target. Urtsua Fuente struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Inocencio Favila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pichincha FC. The throw-in from Dante Arias in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Atletico La Balcarce's Lino Erruki. After a rather tough play, Pichincha FC's Brent-Jan Struyf got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 47 minutes, Urtsua Fuente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pichincha FC and the Club Atletico La Balcarce players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Inocencio Favila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cemal Ilıcak in the 78th minute of the match. Inocencio Favila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urtsua Fuente, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Candido Roldan with Jorge Pagomari as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 88thth minute of the game Cemal Ilıcak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico La Balcarce's Inocencio Favila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Urtsua Fuente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inocencio Favila was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
