The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Canchicot f.c.'s goalkeeper Francisco Fliz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Bernaldo. The supporters of HELLFISH booed when Canchicot f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Sidoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Fliz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aleksandr Ravkin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Bernaldo got free with Francisco Fliz in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Fliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Joey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gervasio Felipillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gaudencio Perfecto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaudencio Perfecto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Felipillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canchicot f.c.'s Francisco Fliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Rito in the 21st minute of play. Gervasio Felipillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. HELLFISH's Amancio Erasto suffered a sore foot after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 31 minutes, Paolo Abadia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canchicot f.c. and the HELLFISH players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paolo Abadia hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Amado Joey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gervasio Felipillo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Canchicot f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Felipillo couldn't finish the play. Francisco Fliz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roque Bernaldo in the 38th minute. Eduardo Gurutz struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Gaudencio Perfecto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canchicot f.c.. 41 minutes into the match, HELLFISH's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Felipillo came free, but Gaudencio Perfecto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gervasio Felipillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canchicot f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Felipillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Perfecto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Amado Joey took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Francisco Fliz to make any attempt to save it. Geronimo Rito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Fliz having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Bernaldo made a kick off. The corner ended in Aleksandr Ravkin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Canchicot f.c.'s Francisco Fliz did a great save. Canchicot f.c.'s Gervasio Felipillo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Amado Joey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HELLFISH's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canchicot f.c. the free kick. Eduardo Gurutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Canchicot f.c.'s Gervasio Felipillo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Roque Bernaldo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Canchicot f.c.'s Francisco Fliz. Francisco Fliz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th match minute, HELLFISH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Bernaldo to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Fliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Rito, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. HELLFISH were victorious despite being under pressure from Canchicot f.c. for much of the match.
