Kurt Wallander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Rodrigo Darien made a huge save. Leopoldo Quilino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Darien made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's zone, Feliberto Silban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Havier came out of the goal and Feliberto Silban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliberto Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Esteve Havier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Wallander. Esteve Havier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sabino Vides's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's Anier Reno got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Silban in the 17th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's goalkeeper Esteve Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliberto Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Esteve Havier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Nueva Chicago SL's Yan Quadros seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yan Quadros the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nueva Chicago SL protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yan Quadros had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 23 minutes into the game, one of Nueva Chicago SL:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abel Gaspard shot from long distance in the 29th minute, but Rodrigo Darien was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Sabino Vides might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Havier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sabino Vides ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Darien was a little too slow when Gregorio Madeo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. The supporters of Nueva Chicago SL booed when C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Reno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Quilino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Anier Reno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Darien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteve Havier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Atauri in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Madeo in the 48th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago SL's goalkeeper Rodrigo Darien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregorio Madeo was the one to do the kick off. Pascual Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Nueva Chicago SL got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Atauri. Fernan Gorosti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Esteve Havier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nueva Chicago SL's Rodrigo Darien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Madeo in the 60th minute of play. Feliberto Silban kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's Desiderio Hanot couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nueva Chicago SL. Rodrigo Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Madeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Vides in the 65th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's goalkeeper Esteve Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's goalkeeper Esteve Havier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Esteve Havier managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Nueva Chicago SL's Sabino Vides fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 74th minute, Jaime Txanton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabino Videss short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Esteve Havier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 76th minute, Kurt Wallander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Nueva Chicago SL getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Pascual Atauri hit a great ball. C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's Gregorio Madeo pulled a muscle in his back after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Orlando Evis fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nueva Chicago SL's protests and gave Orlando Evis a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Wallander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Anier Reno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Darien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Darien came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes's Kurt Wallander. But to his dismay, Kurt Wallander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Rodrigo Darien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Wallander in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A. Peñarol de Bulnes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nueva Chicago SL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
