The referee ignored Estatales's protests and gave Froilan Joachim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Froilan Joachim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Estatales's Lino Mattin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eleuterio Ranolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Martxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Sansone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Lino Mattin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Estatales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Mattin couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Felipe Evis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CAJUH's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estatales the free kick. Felipe Evis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Estatales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Goyo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Martxot in the 22nd minute of play forced CAJUH's goalkeeper Eleuterio Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CAJUH's Eleuterio Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Mattin in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Estatales getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Denis Sansone hit a great ball. Eleuterio Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Mattin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes, Natalio Azeari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAJUH and the Estatales players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Estatales booed when CAJUH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lino Mattin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Eleuterio Ranolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Denis Sansone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Denis Sansone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estatales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Sansone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, CAJUH's Benito Cordarrol got a free kick in the 65th minute. Eleuterio Ranolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Sansone's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Estatales were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after CAJUH's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lino Mattin took the corner. After having played for 92 minutes, Anacleto Martxot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estatales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Martxot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ruben Veronica managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAJUH's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Veronica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theagenis Charalambakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Estatales's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
