After 17 minutes of play, Black Warriors FC's Rodolfo Valiente made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Nesor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mateo Nesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Vladimiro Guter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Valiente to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Sobrado struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Osvaldo Tauro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medellín FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eberhard Schlünz in the 73rd minute of play forced Black Warriors FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Tauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Black Warriors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eberhard Schlünz came free, but Osvaldo Tauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
