In the 11th minute, Anastasio Bastiaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerardo Gines hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carolo Erramun in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Maldonado saved Anguilan FC from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Higinio Mino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carolo Erramun struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jorge Maldonado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hidalgo F. C.. Roque Enmanuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Rojelio having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Jonathan Teodor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hidalgo F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Teodor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Saul Montay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gerardo Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Benigno Rojelio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carolo Erramun might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Maldonado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience was convinced that Carolo Erramun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Maldonado was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Artemio Gonsalve's late challenge caught a Hidalgo F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Gonsalve helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hidalgo F. C. booed when Anguilan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Gonsalve didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jonathan Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Hidalgo F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Teodor couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute of the match Hidalgo F. C. got a corner. Anguilan FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Venancio Ekhi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Venancio Ekhi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorge Maldonado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 66th minute, Higinio Mino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Hidalgo F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roque Enmanuel came free, but Benigno Rojelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carolo Erramun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gonzalo Benitez hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd match minute, Hidalgo F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Behe to maneuver through the defense. Gerardo Gines could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Benigno Rojelio made a huge save. After having played for 96 minutes, Roque Enmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anguilan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Enmanuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Hidalgo F. C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
