In the 33rd match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Egoi to maneuver through the defense. River Plate's Celedonio Aballe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Nacional De Buenos Aires were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after River Plate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Martin Tallia took the corner. David Unax made a great header on Nacional De Buenos Aires's corner, it was just that River Plate's Celedonio Aballe managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Natalio Mikeldi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Natalio Mikeldi got a free kick in the 59th minute. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Timoteo Rey hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that David Unax's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celedonio Aballe was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Celedonio Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Djaló in the 81st minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Martin Tallia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Celedonio Aballe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Xabat in the 95th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Celedonio Aballe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nacional De Buenos Aires had won after a very even match.
