Daireaux's Simão Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Lamberto in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Daireaux's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Jacinto Luque came free, but Simão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Arnulfo Feo put in a rough tackle. Richi FC's Delmar Pello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
