Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hernan Danel started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Bizen in the 12th minute of play forced Barrio Chino's goalkeeper Veselin Gúlúbov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Barrio Chino defense, Maximo Matei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Veselin Gúlúbov. The Barrio Chino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Veselin Gúlúbov should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Roque Valery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Chabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Valery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alvaro Chabier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veselin Gúlúbov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Danel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veselin Gúlúbov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Matei, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Barrio Chino's Rigoberto Terciero got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Barrio Chino's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Danel came free, but Veselin Gúlúbov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veselin Gúlúbov came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico River Plate's Maximo Matei. But to his dismay, Maximo Matei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Hernan Danel came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Club Atletico River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Danel couldn't finish the play. Barrio Chino's Veselin Gúlúbov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Bizen in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Valery to make the kick off. When Caco Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrio Chino's protests and gave Caco Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. Augusto Neto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Rigoberto Terciero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caco Gonçalves hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Delmar Gil fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrio Chino's protests and gave Delmar Gil a yellow card for diving instead. Hernan Danel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Veselin Gúlúbov having to make a save. After 77 minutes of play, Club Atletico River Plate's Luciano Natanael made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Veselin Gúlúbov was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Barrio Chino's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Danel came free, but Veselin Gúlúbov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Terciero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrio Chino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico River Plate the free kick. In the 88th minute, Rigoberto Terciero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Danel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veselin Gúlúbov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Veselin Gúlúbov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Danel, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Atletico River Plate eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
