The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Bastos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Eriberto Mattin put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of temple of the dog:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Florida:s goal. Guga Bastos went to the wrong direction when Anastasio Cesario was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cristobal Abancens struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Fausto Ur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for temple of the dog. temple of the dog's Severiano Urki got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristobal Abancens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Ur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gonzalo Llin made the kick off in the second half. If Gonzalo Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Abancens struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Fausto Ur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cristobal Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. temple of the dog's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Ur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonzalo Llin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Bastos having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Gonzalo Llin rounded temple of the dog's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Guga Bastos made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Raul Luken sent off a good shot on target. If Cristobal Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Cristobal Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. temple of the dog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Abancens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raul Luken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Ur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Abancens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Abancens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Ur having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Florida's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Abancens came free, but Fausto Ur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Cristobal Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. temple of the dog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Abancens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the temple of the dog players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
