In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Villa Constitucion F.C.. Cosme Iban stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Osvaldo Edwardo. 0-1. In the 11th minute, Edgardo Quintun made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Jakobe. Villa Constitucion F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 15 minutes into the game, STRATUS's Ivan Erdiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Jakobe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Melquiades Jakobe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Quintun in the 19th minute. Jairo Grabiel struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Melquiades Jakobe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STRATUS. In the 23rd minute, Aurelio Orlondon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Jakobe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Villa Constitucion F.C.'s Melquiades Jakobe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Grabiel in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Grabiel in the 34th minute of play forced Villa Constitucion F.C.'s goalkeeper Melquiades Jakobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jairo Grabiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. STRATUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Grabiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Jakobe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Villa Constitucion F.C.'s Melquiades Jakobe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Constitucion F.C. from getting a goal against them. Rafal Karanewski got in the 47th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Melquiades Jakobe handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jairo Grabiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Melquiades Jakobe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafal Karanewski to make the kick off. Villa Constitucion F.C.'s Baldomiro Kusko got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafal Karanewski in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Jakobe saved Villa Constitucion F.C. from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Constitucion F.C.'s zone, Jairo Grabiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Jakobe came out of the goal and Jairo Grabiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Bernard might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Edwardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anacleto Bernard ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomiro Kusko's late challenge caught a STRATUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Kusko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Baldomiro Kusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of STRATUS booed when Villa Constitucion F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Kusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafal Karanewski in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Jakobe saved Villa Constitucion F.C. from getting behind. Villa Constitucion F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Grabiel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Edgardo Quintun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Jakobe having to interfere. Melquiades Jakobe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Grabiel in the 87th minute of play. Villa Constitucion F.C.'s Melquiades Jakobe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Quintun in the 88th minute of play. When Jairo Grabiel came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the STRATUS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Grabiel couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Constitucion F.C.'s zone, Edgardo Quintun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Jakobe came out of the goal and Edgardo Quintun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. STRATUS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
