Mauricio Azeari dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Lamarque AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Savion came free, but Mauricio Azeari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Loren kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match, Jonas Nofre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mauricio Azeari saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Samuel Medardo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Samuel Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Salto's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Giro came free, but Tonny Koerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Azeari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Nofre in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Arlo in the 39th minute of play forced Lamarque AFC's goalkeeper Mauricio Azeari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Medardo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Salto's Mauricio Azeari threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvano Arlo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eliseo Rayman kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Mauricio Azeari didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 48th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Nofre to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Giro got free with Tonny Koerts in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lamarque AFC's Mauricio Azeari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Savion in the 60th minute of play. Tonny Koerts made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ladislao Giro sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Medardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Salto's Silvano Arlo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Azeari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jonas Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Azeari having to interfere. Mauricio Azeari came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Salto's Silvano Arlo. But to his dismay, Silvano Arlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Giro got free with Tonny Koerts in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Generoso Dodorol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Azeari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Arlo in the 87th minute of play. Mauricio Azeari was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Salto were the better team. Salto's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
