Adan Marino might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Montrel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adan Marino ran back to his position shaking his head. Adan Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Montrel having to interfere. Ariel Montrel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adan Marino's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Ezequiel Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Ilazki in the 23rd minute of the match. Arnaldo Ilazki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Dimas having to interfere. Ezequiel Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Urtsua in the 27th minute of the match. Adan Marino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Montrel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 37th match minute, Perú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Paskal to maneuver through the defense. Adan Marino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ariel Montrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ruperto Marino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteagudo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Marino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Montrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

If Adan Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monteagudo AFC's Cristian Laurendi got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Perú's Angelino Frichoso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ezequiel Dimas. 63 minutes into the match, Adan Marino notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Perú's Ariel Montrel. Ariel Montrel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ezequiel Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Urtsua in the 67th minute of play. If Adan Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. Adan Marino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Montrel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. When Cirilo Sotil was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Monteagudo AFC made a substitution. Jacinto Umea replaced Fausto Bieito. After a rather tough play, Perú's Cirilo Sotil got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Adan Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Jacinto Umea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteagudo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Umea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Montrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Monteagudo AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
