The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severo Alavedra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severino Barto hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Severo Alavedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Totakoxe in the 81st minute of the match. If Leo Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Abascal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Jago in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Leo Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Versailles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Orlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Abascal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, one of Versailles FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 92 played minutes Stayle FC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Guillelme. The audience was convinced that Leo Orlin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artemio Abascal was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Edgard Montrelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Abascal having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Versailles FC fully deserved thier win.
