Ramon Luar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Betadur's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Moises Sayveon was a little too slow when Paulo Costante got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ramon Luar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes Union got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Txeru.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paolo Betadur was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Paolo Betadur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alberdi AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Union:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alberdi AFC:s goal. In the 91st minute, Ladislao Inge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paolo Betadur in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. Alberdi AFC's Francisco Vergaray pulled a muscle in his leg after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 96 minutes into the game, Segundo Estevon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alberdi AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Union's Segundo Estevon got a free kick in the 98th minute. Alberdi AFC played a much better game than Union and deserved their victory. The Union players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
