Evelio Goiz hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Paolo Betadur might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramon Luar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paolo Betadur ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Alberdi AFC's Albertino Silveira got a free kick in the 14th minute. Segundo Estevon scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moises Sayveon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moises Sayveon came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Union's Ladislao Inge. But to his dismay, Ladislao Inge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Maximo Txeru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moises Sayveon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Estevon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Alberdi AFC's Francisco Vergaray dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. A hard shot 34 in the game by Paolo Betadur from a close distance when the talented Ramon Luar managed to make a qualified save. Union's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the match, Alberdi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Inge came free, but Moises Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Vergaray kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Basílio Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ramon Luar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Betadur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paolo Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Alberdi AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Union:s goal. Moises Sayveon went to the wrong direction when Dante Mouricio was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Moises Sayveon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Inge in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Maximo Txeru made a precise shot to the right of Moises Sayveon. Alberdi AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 76 played minutes Alberdi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Brito. After 77 played minutes, Union's Natalio Quin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moises Sayveon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Union reached it. Leon Okropny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Luar having to interfere.
