Narciso Milians short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Candido Illan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Saul Gregory came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Gualjaina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Gregory couldn't finish the play.

The referee ignored Gualjaina AFC's protests and gave Saul Gregory a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Saul Gregory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 minutes of play, Gualjaina AFC's Saul Gregory made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Illan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Candido Illan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Eliu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Candido Illan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gualjaina AFC's Narciso Milian shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-6 in the ordered_time% minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Estudiantes de La Plata had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
