Dalmacio Tulio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Lucero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Perpinya, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gustavo Lucero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonides Perpinya showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 44 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celedonio Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Vincent in the 75th minute of play. Celedonio Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gustavo Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
