An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Firmo in the 16th minute of play forced La noche FC's goalkeeper Victorino Txatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ingvar Gustavsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Muñano FC's Ermegildo Ekialde got control of the ball when Casimiro Maraman tried to sneak it across the goal line.
