Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armindo Seco in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enzo Osoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Izotz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Armindo Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Armindo Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Osoitz was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Melchor Asteri kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the last second Enzo Osoitz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Armindo Seco in the 22ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Maribor booed when Cabinda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Asteri didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cabinda FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Guaberto Chano hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guaberto Chano to make the kick off.
