Zeledon Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Lop, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Zeledon Vedillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Pelayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Defensores de Nuñez's Eustacio Quentin got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alejo Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeledon Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Pelayo in the 29th minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Defensores de Nuñez got a freekick which was hit by Moise Condrea. 39 minutes into the match, Defensores de Nuñez's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Nel came free, but Zeledon Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Astor Lop in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Vedillo saved Defensores de Nuñez from getting behind. A hard shot 43 in the game by Eustacio Quentin from a close distance when the talented Victorio Hug managed to make a qualified save. Campos's players were relieved. In the 47th minute, Moise Condrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Celso Mitxaut came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Campos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Mitxaut couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Zeledon Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Nel in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Campos's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Quentin came free, but Victorio Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores de Nuñez's Zeledon Vedillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Nuñez from getting a goal against them. After having played for 72 minutes, Alejo Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores de Nuñez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Amaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Quentin in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute Anibal Macerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Vedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Eustacio Quentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Victorio Hug was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
