Alonzo Tebaldo was a little too slow when Ambrosio Ofelio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Narciso Hori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Bizen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, SAN JOSE's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ulises Cidro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If João Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcelino Abaurre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alonzo Tebaldo having to make a save. In the 45th minute Omar Libertad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Hori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Tebaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Reynaldo Misael took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alonzo Tebaldo. SAN JOSE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
